Kansas 50501 wants to recognize the next national day of action recommended by 50501 National Coordinators.
THE NEXT DAY OF ACTION HAS BEEN DECIDED:
From All Of Us:
“At the end of June, we expect Supreme Court rulings on the Voting Rights Act and birthright citizenship– a flagrant attempt by the MAGA regime to roll back the clock on progress and set the groundwork for a white nationalist agenda. When they cross these red lines, we must be ready to capture and funnel the energy of the American public toward asserting a future of freedom and equality for all.”
These ideas and demands are directly related to Kansas, as we see our own representatives attempting to redistrict and gerrymander our state. Thankfully, there was not enough votes last session to approve the map changes. In many other states, this is not the case, and rampant unfair voting tactics continue to rise.

"This year marks the 250th Anniversary of America’s Declaration of Independence, and our country is at an unprecedented crossroads. At a time when our country should be coming together to celebrate all that we are, how far we’ve come, and commit to finishing the work to make America a place where freedom and equality are truly for all, a white supremacist faction is pushing our country in the opposite direction."
News and media may claim that our POTUS remains in constan victory across the board, but the truth shows otherwise..
“Approval of Trump’s presidency has fallen by 8 points, to 42.4%, while disapproval has risen by 10 points, to 54.9%. The decline seems to be accelerating; nearly half of this 12-point approval gap has opened up just since mid-October. Moreover, the groups that shifted toward Trump during the 2024 election—especially Hispanics, independents, and young adults—are expressing their disappointment with his performance.”
After winning multiple lawsuits, Young Climate Activists in Montana have turned their attention to Trump, using their lessons from past court victories to aid their journey. An attack on the use of fossil fuels and “block the build-out of renewable energy.”
Our state holds key history in the fight against systematic racism – and our fight did not end with the Brown V Board Supreme Court Decision, but continued as activists continued to fight for more equality and freedom. As modern-day activists, we must remember our history and learn from the mistakes of our elders, not because we disrespect them, but because we respect the changing times and a growing need for change.
The MAGA regime attempts to erase the history of fights for civil rights, freedom, and equality, but Kansans will not forget the Bushwackers and Jayhawkers. Kansans remember Abolitionist John Brown and his ideas preceding the Civil War. Kansans acknowledge the time of Bleeding Kansas, a time filled with violence and destruction.
History shows that Kansans do not back down; they fight and band together as a state with a heart of wheat, cattle, and fields of green. As a nation, we will show those in charge that we will not be silent as our ancestors are being dismissed, while our history is being rewritten, and while our rights are under direct threat by the POTUS.
Being an activist means being creative in your ways of spreading awareness or demanding change. It does not have to start and end with one event on one day. Commit to the work of ensuring liberty and equality by recruiting more activists, encouraging them to do what they can to aid the resistance, and considering all the actions you can take.
